I use vinegar, peroxide and baking soda to clean and sanitize most everything. You can boost your laundry detergent power by reducing the amount of liquid soap added to wash loads and sprinkling baking soda instead. This works only with liquid detergent.
To keep your dog free of fleas, use lavender oil or citronella oil, both available through the link on LG4L main site to Puritan's Pride. A small amount on a q-tip applied around your pet's neck will repel fleas, with instant results.
